Annual Pledge Drive
Since 1999, the Foundation has distributed over $696,000 in teacher grants and special projects which have enhanced the education of more than 16,000 students in the Bryan Public Schools.
The Bryan ISD Education Foundation supports:
- Scholarships for BISD high school graduates who intend to further their education (awarded over $86,000 to graduating seniors in 2016)
- Grants for innovative K-12 classroom projects (awarded approximately $37,000 in 2017)
The Bryan ISD Education Foundation Board invites the community to make a positive difference in our classrooms by making a donation to our annual fundraising campaign which began Feb. 1, 2018 and runs through Feb. 28, 2018. Our children deserve every opportunity to reach their highest potential and our teachers deserve the chance to supplement classroom instruction through creative and innovative teaching methods.
Major Saver Restaurant Card
Major Saver cards, which provide for significant discounts at area restaurants, are sold for $10 each fall and are valid for one year. The money raised from the sale of the cards is split between each participating school and the Foundation, resulting in $13,450 in 2017 for student and teacher support. Participating schools use their funds to purchase equipment, software, and classroom supplies.
Employee Contribution Campaign
Each August, Bryan ISD employees are asked to make a personal contribution to the Education Foundation through payroll deduction. Over 400 employees are currently participating and have pledged approximately $12,000.
